Whistler, formerly known Alta Lake, is a resort town in British Columbia of Canada. The Whistler municipality has a population of around 9,965. In Fitzsimmons range there is a peak named Whistler Mountain which was formerly known as London Mountain. Whistler Mountain is the epic centre of the economics of the Whistler town. All the activities are centred on the Whistler Mountain and the ski resort. Whistler attracts more than two million tourists annually and the number is rising each year.


Whistler-Black Comb is a ski resort which is created on Whistler Mountains and is famous across the world for alpine skiing and mountain biking. Whistler-Black Comb has been rated as number one ski resort many times over the years and that shows the significance of the resort to the Whistler town.


There are ski lifts for accessing alpine heights as well as for ski tour across the garibaldi provincial park. Whistler is now on spotlight as the Vancouver Winter Olympics and Para Olympics in 2010 will be organised in whistler. Whistler-Black Comb is one of the host resorts during these occasions. Whistler is a fantastic place with good snow, good night life and extended terrain.


In winter season when snow is there skiing will be most preferred by the tourists. When summer comes then whistler will be bursting with some sort of wonderful activities. Whistler is blessed with lush emerald forests and enchanting crystal clear lakes.
