We would like to share with your readers the exceptional service that we received when our truck broke down at Jim’s Market/Shell Station in Clearwater, BC at the end of July while we were on our way to Saskatchewan for a family reunion.
After I filled up with diesel, our truck would not start and the attendant, Devin, called a local mechanic to come and look at our truck. However, as our truck was still under warranty we were told we had to go to a Ford dealership and that they would send tow trucks as we had our 5th wheel with us. While waiting for the tow trucks Devin got cones and placed them behind the 5th wheel so people would not pull in behind us. He and other staff assured us that we did not need to worry about blocking traffic, as it could not be helped. The inside staff were also very helpful in getting Ford dealership phone numbers and in offering the use of their telephone. One and a half hours later and still no tow truck, our truck started and we headed off to Kamloops in search of a Ford dealership.
When we contacted Kamloops Ford Lincoln Ltd. at 880 – 8th Street, Kamloops, BC, they said to come right in and they would try to get us looked at that afternoon and would do their best to get our truck repaired the next day. Even though we did not arrive at the dealership until five minutes before the technicians were finished for the day, they took the time to do a computer diagnostic on the truck, determined the problem and booked us in for service first thing the next morning. They then had us move our truck and 5th wheel to the back of the shop where they brought an extension cord so that we had power. They took our truck in at 8:30 a.m. and had us on our way by 1:30 p.m. that afternoon.
All of the staff at the dealership were friendly and went out of their way to make a stressful time more manageable for us.
We would highly recommend this dealership for anyone needing service. ~ Norm & Ruth Sigurdson, Maple Ridge, BC
