My Dear RVT Readers,
This is the beginning of the 23rd year of this magazine and you and me. In two more we can celebrate 25 years together! How time has flown by!
First, I want to thank all the readers who sent me Christmas cards in December! A wonderful, delightful surprise!
In the past two months I’ve had lots of good times connecting with family members at four celebrated birthdays and then Christmas parties. Lots of cake, gifts, visiting, and fun!
In early November there was a Canadian RV Vehicle and Camping Convention in Victoria that I was able to attend. Two speakers I enjoyed included Jim Carroll, a futurist, trends and innovation expert, plus Michael Vickers a sales and marketing motivator. Michael is also a humourist and at one point I was laughing so hard I was crying! There are those who believe the world is changing so fast only the young can keep up with all the new changes, especially those involving technology, and I am not sure anymore where I fit! I still have some days when things are so under control here I feel like I’m still in my 40’s, so that’s GREAT!
One strong point of my new learning, of course, is the development of my new website. John Overall, the webmaster, has been very patient with me as I want this changed first and that changed second and then change it all totally after that! I know many of you are frustrated with it too and I ask that you please understand the changes are going to be excellent once completed. And yes, the old days of all the material being available for free to everyone at all times, are gone. The new changes do involve extra costs to me and now, to you too, so hang in there with me. . . OK?
Remember, the one year website membership gives you two FREE months, BUT you can subscribe for just one month at a time for $19.95.
Every week I email John NEW material for the website subscribers. Every week, often including extra articles that are too large for the paper edition. Realizing the website is open to the whole world, tourism news is not restricted to North American locations and happenings. The new website now gives me a chance to pass along much of the material I receive and have had no place for before. Our goal is to make the subscription worth more than its cost, so how we doing so far?
RV Show times coming up in February and March . . . and I WILL be at both the Abbotsford Show and the Chilliwack Show. Hope to see you at both. Stop by and say “Hi” . . . OK?
I hope your 2010 is filled with fun, family, friends, excellent health, lots of RVing and good cheer!
