Last year, Christine and George Wreford decided on a bold move — after more than 20 years in the Interior of British Columbia they decided to relocate to Nova Scotia. On May 29, 2008, they loaded dog Mac and budgie Joey into their modern day covered wagon “Arvey” — a 24-foot (8-metre) Forest River Sunseeker, equipped with a satellite navigation system
(GPS) they called “Posh Nav” — and headed east to their new life.
In Part One, the Wrefords had travelled as far as Wawa, Ontario.
Day 10: June 9
After a rainy night in the Wawa RV (Good Sam) Park, we drove through puddles of mud back onto Highway 17 heading for Echo Bay on the way to Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury. There was water all over the roads, which were in a terrible condition. We were commenting that “You should be ashamed of yourselves, Ontario,
