We have recently returned from and 11,000 km trip in our 27-ft Adventurer motorhome. The trip took us through Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and back over the border through Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and back to BC. Quite the odyssey. For the most part we camped at KOAs and always found the standards consistently good to excellent. We were travelling with two dogs, one a senior, and one a seven-month old Goldendoodle, who was a challenge at times! However, we would like to comment on the new K9 parks that some KOA are establishing. These proved a welcome relief for the puppy as they allowed him the opportunity to burn off some excess energy that had built up over a day of travelling in close quarters. Kudos to KOA.?? We would also like to recommend a campsite that we came upon in Dryden, Ontario. The Northwestern Tent & RV Park had the cleanest washrooms of any campsite we stayed at on our trip. The campsite itself is immaculate and beautifully landscaped. Clearly the Wittwer family takes great pride in their park. The Hershey chocolate kisses with the receipt were a special touch! ~ Jim & Jill McGlenen, jmcglenen@shaw.ca
