On my recent trip to northern BC, Alberta and the Northwest Territories I experienced several incidents of generosity and good will from many directions, especially while my 1984 Dodge camper van was having electrical and mechanical problems.
First, I?d like to thank Matt of Wolverine Automotive in Fort St. John, for his accurate diagnosis and fixing of problems related to the starter relay component. Then, in Grimshaw Alberta, I?d gratefully like to recognize Richard of Allrite Powertrain Ltd. He effectively repaired my leaky power-steering box (free of charge because he was unable to provide the repair job we had agreed upon when the new replacement power-steering box did not arrive as ordered).
I, and my traveling companions, had been delayed three days because of it. Thank you, Richard! To all the other helpful or friendly folks who injected a joyful feeling along the way into my adventures ? Prince George to Fort Nelson to Yellowknife to Grimshaw to Cobb Lake ? thank you! Lastly, my hat is off to Darryl of Yellowknife who is the friendliest shuttle bus driver in the NWT!
