Camping Horizon:

Last month, we visited Camping Horizon in St. Roch, QC and want to share our feelings with your readers Sheila. This beautiful RV Park is located in a quiet rural area, 30 minutes north of Montreal via a four-lane highway. The park is surrounded by farmland, so there are no noisy traffic, low flying airplane or trains. The park?s theme is ?Rediscover Nature?. There are lots of maple trees and sugar bushes on the west side including a sugar shack for making maple syrup in the spring. There?s also a restaurant on the premises that serves a variety of local foods. The seasonal occupants pride themselves with manicured lawn and beautiful flowerbeds. There was a Christmas in July with a Santa?s parade and a Halloween weekend organized by the staff. The owners, Susan and Gilles Caron, are bilingual and Gilles served 27 years in the military. They manage the park in a firm and friendly manner. All campers abide by the rules and I didn?t notice any pet without a leash during the five days that we spent in the park. Their e-mail address is info@campinghorizon.ca. If you plan on visiting the Montreal area, we highly recommend this very pleasant and charming RV Park. ~ Paul Dupuis, Red Deer, AB
