BC Cultural Crawl Launches New Website

www.bcculturalcrawl.com

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On July 19th, 2010 the BC Cultural Crawl launched its website to provide a user-friendly hub for cultural creators and cultural explorers. www.bcculturalcrawl.com is the ?go-to? resource for the 9th Annual BC Cultural Crawl that kicks off BC Day long weekend.? With over 80 participating communities and hundreds of events, the 2010 BC Cultural Crawl presents BC?s cultural ?footprint? like never before.

The BC Cultural Crawl is a FREE celebration of BC?s vibrant arts, culture and heritage. From Kelowna?s cultural corridor to the bustle of Barkerville, to the 7th Annual New Westminster Cultural Crawl in western Canada?s oldest city, the BC Cultural Crawl brings these varied experiences together.

Each region?s diverse history and landscape translates into a unique cultural experience. Think of each community as having its own cultural ?footprint? to be explored ? BC is truly a supercultural province.?

Use the website to browse August events, local cultural crawls, and community art walks. Download itineraries, maps and find all of the resources you need to plan your BC Cultural Journey!

Producing the BC Cultural Crawl has been a philanthropic effort by founder Trudy Van Dop, together with a number of talented associates, select media and sponsors dedicated to showcasing the arts and culture of our province.

This year?s province-wide Cultural Crawl will again be co-presented in partnership with the Assembly of BC Arts Councils. ?We are delighted with this ongoing partnership,? says Van Dop. ?We have identified synergies between both parties to achieve a sustainable, long-term relationship benefiting communities throughout British Columbia.?

?The Assembly is committed to creating a province-wide network of arts & cultural organizations that contribute to and promote the living arts and culture in our province. The BC Cultural Crawl is a perfect vehicle to realise this vision? says Junko Sakamoto, Assembly of BC Arts Councils.
