A Publisher?s Life and Times – Issue 99

RV Times Early Bird RV ShowChatting with Sheila & Al:

We did it! We went to Baja Mexico and had a wonderful time. We left here on December 22nd and returned on January 24th. For all my ins and outs of that journey, see pages 43 – 51.

My Mom and AndraWe returned in time to have our booth at the EarlyBird RV Show at the end of January. It was good to see you all again! Some of my favourite quotes from you include:

“This magazine is our library at home!”

“My 22 year-old truck driver son is just as addicted to your magazine as I am.”

“We have a subscription, and when it arrives in the mail we are the envy of all our friends!”

The Birthday Girl--Maryann with the GirlsThank you for all the confidence you have in me and all the praise. I am happy to be continuing on and excited to have the upcoming summer issue be the 100th time we have done this magazine! You and I are a great team, didn’t you know?

Back to the RV Show, remember you can always bring your children and/or grandchildren to the Shows. ISH the clown is present on the weekends to entertain them for you. He is a master with balloon sculpturing, and
entertains all ages!

The Baloon GuyFor all the gals who asked me about the knitted clowns I have on my booth display, the dolls are from pattern books by Jean Greenhowe. If you go online, you can purchase the books at a site called:

http://www.cpu-enterprises.com/gifts/jg-books.htm.

The yarn I used is called Astra, and is 3 ply.

Clown DollFrom Christmas time, I took this photo of my Mom, Genie Foucher, with her newest grandbaby, Andra. Two of the beautiful people in my life!

And the photo below was taken at the Otter Coop, on 248th St. in Aldergrove. Most mornings Allen and I do breakfast there. The ladies sit at one table and the gents at another, so some serious life situations can be discussed and resolved, including birthdays! From left to right is Evelyn, Marilyn, then me with my hand on the shoulder of Maryann, the birthday girl. We have fun every morning, which gives each day a happy start!

Al and his RacerFor those who have been asking, below is the current state of Allen’s race car. “It’s coming along just fine,” he maintains.

See you at the March 18-21 Humdinger RV Show in Chilliwack? (See pg 2 + 71) We’ll be there, waiting for you!

Luv ya,
