RV Man

The excitement in my life continues on and on. Guess what I did all by myself? Got me a new car!

Pontiac Torrent

It?s a Pontiac Torrent and is able to tow my RV Show trailer with incredible ease. Since the magazine has gone glossy, its weight has increased and my little Tracker was struggling towing the trailer filled with the magazines, headed for RV shows. But this Torrent doesn?t even know the trailer is there! The gents at Dave Wheaton Pontiac Buick GMC in Victoria were just great and I even had fun dealing with them!

The other thing about this car is that it can tow 3,500 lbs, which includes some of these Lite RVs on the market these days! First need to find the home to live in with space to store it between outings.I?m working on it. I do miss RVing!

When I pick up a travel trailer I know I will definitely take advantage of a driving school to teach me how to back it up, etc. We have two to choose from in the Marketpage ads these days. And the Okanagan College?s RV Owners Lifestyle Seminars are a plus too. They happen this year on the June 21 – 23rd weekend in Kelowna. IF I buy a trailer by then, I do plan on attending! Just look at me here, taking charge of my life! Nice!

In the picture at the top, the RV man knitted doll that was on my display at the Tradex and Chilliwack RV Shows, now lives in Red Deer, Alberta! So, back to the knitting needles I go, with a new doll in production, to be ready for my display at the Snowbird RV Show, this September 24?28th! Mark your calenders. (He?ll be a cutie too, I promise!)

You know the 1979 Execuvan that writer Catherine Dook goes RVing in with her hubby John? They are a great couple who live in Cowichan Bay, in their 40-ft sailboat. I decided to go visit to see this Execuvan for myself, and yep, it is just as Catherine describes in her articles, rust and all! But they love it anyway! Different strokes for different folks!

At the end of March I drove up to Kamloops to attend the Jubilee RV Sale/Show and had me a great time. Chris Clarke, John?s better half, of (www.sanidumps.com), was a great chatting buddy during the slow moments.

They had the table beside mine, inside the sales office. We had a lot of fun with the customers, the owners, the salesmen, the parts department people, the manufacturers? representatives, and even with Dennis in the financial end of the business!

Jubiliee RV Center

Steve from the Parts Department agreed to write us a column on what?s NEW in parts & goodies these days as new things arrive each week. (He?s on page 39.)

April 25-27 my daughter Chriss and I will be at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre attending Harv Eker?s Millionaire Mind Intensive Course. Harv says we all have a mind blueprint about money that keeps us where we are financially. To change, we have to change the blueprint first. He teaches the tools to do that. My goal in taking all these courses is to find ways to help me continue doing this magazine for you, forever! (Affording employees, etc.)

On May 10th, I am going to be at O?Connor RV in Langley for their Open House to do the GRAND PRIZE DRAW for the Merritt Mountain Music Festival & Campsite Prize! I?ll try to pull your name. I want to thank Will Finlayson of Kelowna for the suggestion that in the Classifieds Ads I put the RVs for Sale in categories according to what type of RV they are. Let me know if you agree with the change. In the past I used to just list the units according to their ages.

Fire up your RV and enjoy BC?s springtime!
