A Publisher?s life and times
Here we have the last Issue of my 18th year publishing this magazine! WOW! You and I have lasted a long time together and are still lookin? great! Right?
Anyway, I have had a number of fun things happening around here that I want to share with you. Firstly is the hiring of Charlene who is my new assistant. Many of you have mentioned you like speaking with her on the phone. Just remember she is very new so is still becoming familiar with all the different departments in the office. She is catching on quickly, so it won?t be long before you will not be able to stump her with your questions.
At the Snowbird RV Show that occurred in September, it was great fun hearing your comments on the magazine?s new look. One woman said, ?Back forth, up down, in out, whatever you do with the magazine is fine with me ?cause I love this magazine!? And another said, ?Your magazine is like talking with friends, not like the other ones that make me feel like I am being talked down to.? And another, ?I love your magazine. We get it all the time. It?s the only reason we know anything!? Believe me when I say I really do appreciate this feedback! It keep me going, year after year after year. Thank YOU again!
For your records, the 2006 BC RV Shows are: EarlyBird RV Show at Tradex on February 2 ? 5, followed by the Humdinger RV Show in Chilliwack on March 16 ? 19, and the Sidney RV Sale & Show on March 24 ? 26.
On September 22 ? 26, Al and I went to a Bus Nut Rally held at the Puntzi Lake Resort. To get there we went north to Williams Lake and turned left! What a beautiful drive and area! The weather was sunny and cool, and oh so perfect. The hosting couples had us dress up in Viking costumes for the Saturday night dinner and what a hoot that was. Yes, that is me on your right, in a blond wig that Al braided for me. We went to Value Village and had a great time sorting through all the Hallowe?en costumes. He decided to be a modern-day Viking! We did not win any prizes but we sure had lots of laughs.
The Club?s men joined forces to put up our tent, including the sides, so even during the cool nights, we were cosy and warm inside for our evening entertainment.
We even took a bus ride to the top of the local hills to view as far as the eye could see!
We had an activity tournament, a fishing derby, and on and on. A great time was had by one and all!
This Nov/Dec Issue is a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays magazine, so this I heartily extend to all my happy readers!
